My current workaround

Add a custom json field
previous -
Add
before_renameserver script
doc.previous = None
frappe.db.set_value('Item', doc.name, 'previous', as_json({'name': doc.name}))- Add
after_renameserver script
# Load previous
docDic = doc.as_dict()
docDic['previous'] = json.loads(doc.previous)
# Call Webhook
frappe.make_post_request('.../webhook/Item/after_rename', data=as_json(docDic))
# Cleanup
frappe.db.set_value('Item', doc.name, 'previous', None)Point 1-2 are necessary due to #25457
A simple data field can be used too, I am using json for consistency with other parts of my code
from frappe.
