I created the following Dockerfile to test it:
FROM python:3-stretch
# Install Java.
RUN \
apt-get update && \
apt-get install -y default-jre && \
rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*
# Define working directory.
WORKDIR /data
# Define commonly used JAVA_HOME variable
ENV JAVA_HOME /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64
RUN pip install duckling
# Define default command.
CMD ["python"]I ran docker build -t duckling:latest . and started the container by executing docker run -it duckling:latest. This gave me a running Python interpreter and I could execute the following code successfully:
>>> import duckling
>>> d = duckling.DucklingWrapper()
>>> print(d.parse_time('connect today'))
from python-duckling.
