We're nearly finished documenting / releasing a Sass file you can use with Foundation, and that'll be optional with documentation in the docs section of the main site. We didn't want to impose another barrier for new adopters by requiring something like Less, but if you use Less and put together a file for that format we're happy to include it!

Yes please keep this optional I really don't like using sass, less etc... personally it adds an unnecessary step into the workflow for designers...

I agree... It's OK if you're working on a less stylesheet from start to finish, but to jump into a "completed" less stylesheet can certainly be annoying.

LESS support imho is a must for quick skinning and customization

@raulriera: You sure you still need less as @smileyj68 said that they are planning on releasing a sass file?

No, not really... one or the other would be enough... I am more of a LESS guy though

In 2.1 we've now included instructions for using Sass. In the future we'll link up a Less version as well, I know several contributors are working on it. http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/gems.php
