Have you considered stagger for id3 tagging? https://code.google.com/p/stagger/

eyed3 provided a way to tag album tag from command line. (In the bash
versions) but i don't know the method for python for now...
If stagger provide a way to do this i will probably replace eyed3

Is it possible to add custom path as an option? That was a huge advantage in the old version.
