Using the pigeon example code https://github.com/flutter/packages/tree/main/packages/pigeon/example, I wasn't able to replicate the reported error @yanshouwang
Can you provide us code sample that we can directly use ?

from flutter.

Just add copyrightHeader to the kotlinOptions, I modified the example, you can test with this.
Also I have looked into the source code, it seems that the kotlin generator missed to convert the List<dynamic> type to List<String> when handle the JSON map.

I think our CI tests are using the top-level copyrightHeader instead of the per-option version.

We should look into separating the structures we use for passing options to generators internally from the one exposed publicly, since IIRC the only reason we have the duplicate ones is because we are accidentally exposing it by re-using the same class in both places. Ideally we shouldn't have a per-language header option exposed to clients.

stuartmorgan avatar stuartmorgan commented on September 27, 2024

The workaround for now is to use the PigeonOptions-level copyrightHeader (which takes a file path rather than strings).

This has been an issue in other ways as well. I fully support this separation.
