Passing --reset to Steam might do some good.

Er, hrm. That is indeed the version that has the newer NSS merged. I just tested that version on a fresh system and it worked fine for me. So that is annoying.

@W73 can you test again? Because I don't see any NSS failure output in the log you pasted. It could be another bug (good news/bad news)
