To combine two XPaths you can do the following:

body: //div[...] | //article[...]

If the elements are of the same type, e.g. both <div> elements, you can also do the following

body: //div[contains(@class, 'xyz') or contains(@class, 'xyz')]

In both cases Full-Text RSS will pull all the matching elements and put them inside a wrapper <div> element.

If you use two separate body directives, the behaviour is different. It will try the first and if it contains no matches, it will move on to the next. So multiple body directives are used when a site presents its content in different ways. Maybe one template for regular articles and another for reviews.
