What is HA Password ? about ha-connector HOT 4 OPEN

A current version doesn't need password. It needs a long lived access token, which you can create from profile tab.

I'm stuck here too, tried for ages to get it working to no avail...

In configuration.yaml I have
homeassistant: auth_providers: - type: homeassistant - type: legacy_api_password api_password: !secret http_password

Then in secrets.yaml I have
http_password: mypassword

I keep getting 401 error and in log the following...
2021-10-10 19:42:55 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.http.ban] Login attempt or request with invalid authentication from 10.70.0.2 (10.70.0.2). (Linux UPnP/1.0 SmartThings)

I have since read this issue #16 and tried to create a long lasting token and adding that as the password, and still error 401?

Somehow got it to work, I copied to custom_components, rebooted entire server, and then generated new token from iPhone HA app and pasted into smarttthings.

Took ages to figure out and not sure what I did to fix it to be honest
