Yep, we need to revamp this completely, preferably as a Javascript that indexes the classes available in a fully updated Fiji.app, saves that index, and another script that matches GitHub URLs with the class/.jar combo.

The current plan is to remove the fiji.sc search functionality in favor of a dedicated search.imagej.net domain. Its central feature would be a search bar the delegates to the GitHub search across all relevant organizations. See also imagej/ImageJ#122.
