This is a bug in Windows Terminal. You should probably close it. I don't think we want to work around this on the Dart side.

Seems this issue is from readLineSync
from dart:io
.
Only happens in windows powershell (works properly on git bash)
void main() {
final a = stdin.readLineSync();
print(a);
}
By simply clicking enter would just move the cursor to next line, unless u type something and enter.
Planning to create a issue in dart.

Hmm, but that doesnt work if they only search on open issues, i dont know whether people will look on "issues" rather than "open issues"
Btw, this is a very general thought of how issues work especially when there such case like this dependent issues.
That’s fair but I haven’t had too much of an issue in the past with this. We can always mark issues and duplicates and link back to the original issue.

This has been fixed in windows terminal v1.18.2 🎉

One small question i had in my mind for long, as above issue is actually from windows but it still affects the users of the mason_logger, such issues is being closed here because its something not mason_logger can do, but if one user might face this issue and will probably look for does it already been reported and will fail to see theres such issue existed since its actually closed here in mason_logger. Is it normal or atleast okay to do?

I think that’s okay because if folks search issues this will still come up and link to the relevant upstream issues.
