This will be possible, as soon as I implemented this feature: fastlane-old/snapshot#11

You could also implement it using a custom scheme for screenshots, which resets your user defaults after the app start.

Is there anyway that we can get the UUID of the device in the blocks too? e.g. So instead of shelling out and having to do shell stuff to get the UUID I could to something like

setup_for_device_change do |device, uuid|
puts "Preparing device: #{device}"
system("xcrun simctl erase #{uuid}")
end
