@koenigjaeger, what's your MATLAB version? tessellation of co-linear surfaces only works for MATLAB 2015a (or b, not sure) or later. can you verify?

I am using Octave 4.4.0 (I'll have to double check this) but is there some similar function for Octave? Or will this affect the ability of mmclab to run simulations in Octave?
Edit: Correction it is Octave 4.4.1

@koenigjaeger, I traced the problem back to the convhulln() call in meshrefine in iso2mesh. In newer versions of matlab, the convhull function can deal with co-planar triangles, but older matlab and octave, the library (qhull) could not process such input.
As a workaround, I committed the following fix in iso2mesh
now, I tested for both octave and matlab, the mmc demo script works fine. Please update iso2mesh to the git version, and test again. For now, I am closing the issue, but feel free to reopen if this fix does not work.
