Even if I use 74.3 its gonna show a different error of this : #46047 Which I cannot bypass.

Hi @shen020598 . I deleted the old android studio and installed the latest one which is causing the same issue. I also use azulu 17.12 community version in mac m1. It works for older versions and not for newer ones.

What are the exact versions you are using. Let me know so i can use it as well. Like the gradle version, java version, mac version. I use Node 18.16.

@Gautham495 ran into same issue as you described, and discussion here helped to get around.
Here is how I troubleshooted this, open android under Android studio to see if it be compiled,
For me, It threw up warning about incompatible AGP versions,
"Upgrade AGP dependency from 8.5.0 to 8.5.2"
And "this step is blocked The upgrade assistant is unable to upgrade this project.
In any case, after some clean up, I see - android/gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties
distributionUrl=https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-8.8-all.zip
And that fixed it.

I use 71.0 and wanted to upgrade but I think I wont be able to even run my work app. I get all sorts of error when building and have wasted 2 days on this. Please fix this.

You should be updating one version at a time, and making sure that the app is still building/running correctly between versions.

Jumping between versions is extremely risky as there are too many things that could be missed during an update.
