Hi Jules,
I think we need to replace our local code base here in Berlin and we should al switch to the new package, so yes, they can be removed. We should chat about how to get the functionality into the new codebase. In partciular, I had a relatively simple window for adding HPO terms to Phenix with PHP and a %xxx% SQL query, but it would be much nicer to use something like solr and to make the website look nicer.

Betreff: [Exomiser] Can the io.html package be removed now? (#6)

This package has now been rendered redundant for the core exomiser-cli functionality as the latest changes in release 5.2.0https://github.com/exomiser/Exomiser/releases/tag/5.2.0 are using Thymeleaf to render the HTML and the HtmlWriter simply hands the context with the data it needs to the rendering engine which fills in the resources/html/templates/results.html with this data.

@pnrobinsonhttps://github.com/pnrobinson - Do you still need it for Panel, CRE and Walker? If not then this package has served it's purpose and it's time to retire it from the codebase. Let me know and I'll take care of it.

Excellent, thanks Peter. If you look at the exomiser-web package you can see how I'm doing that sort of thing. I found a nice javascript library - js-chosen which will filter these sorts of things.
