It looks fine to me. The repository contains the timeout argument: https://github.com/exhuma/puresnmp/blob/v1.5.1/puresnmp/transport.py#L29
Just in case, I've checked the file published on pypi and they are fine too.
Do you have a code-example with which I can reproduce the error?

Sorry for late reply - I was abroad.
Seems to be my mistake - I used master repository, not the release version.
