An update for SDK is in the works and should be available very soon from what I heard from Estimote team.
For now you can use Core Location beacon region monitoring as described here https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/userexperience/conceptual/LocationAwarenessPG/RegionMonitoring/RegionMonitoring.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40009497-CH9-SW1
UUID for an Estimote beacon is:
B9407F30-F5F8-466E-AFF9-25556B57FE6D

New version of SDK with iOS7 support is going to be released this week. Update will give you much better beacon management functionality.
