Ah, I was wondering when the hoptoad_notifier gem was going to be renamed.
I think it would be great to update Errbit to work with the renaming, and to handle important API upgrades.
I'll have a look at what's been added to the 2.2 API, but we will be supporting API versions >= 2.0 for now. There's no real reason for us to push the hoptoad_notifier -> airbrake gem change, since the main difference is just the default host changing from hoptoadapp to airbrakeapp, and that doesn't affect us.
So yes, we will be following Hoptoad's transition to Airbrake, as well as updates to the API, but we aren't on a very tight schedule. Pull requests are always welcome, and I'll leave this issue open until we support the airbrake gem and API ver 2.2 .
