Oh and right now you have to run it as rebar3 erlydtl compile. But you'll be able to add it as a pre or post hook to compile eventually.

Aaaah, found the issue. The deps in erlydtl have [raw]. We don't really have a concept of that in rebar3. Going to figure out if that is really needed for those.
Also I'll be adding a useful error message if parsing deps like that fails.
