This is probably attributed to the fact that you're positioned in the gan folder when calling the script gan.py. In the MNIST implementations I call the script from the root folder. So if you position yourself in the project root folder and call python3 gan/gan.py it should work. You could also change fig.savefig("gan/images/mnist_%d.png" % epoch) to fig.savefig("images/mnist_%d.png" % epoch) on line 162 in gan.py and that should solve your problem too.

Can you give an example of the model that you tried to run and the error message that you got.

I am having the same issues with several of the models. It seems I am unable to import mnist from keras.datasets. mnist.npz is downloaded and in .keras/datasets, but I still get:

IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'gan/images/mnist_0.png'

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
