Could you please share your configuration and the version of Oríon you were using. I'll need it to try reproducing this issue with the algo EvolutionaryES.

Ok, so I managed to solve this issue.
As seen on line 235 in evolution_es.py:
mod_name, func_name = function_string.rsplit(".", 1)
Here, due to version mismatch, the mod_name and func_name was splitting differently, which led to the error. By fixing it correctly, I was able to solve it.
mod_name, func_name = "orion.algo.evolution_es.mutate_functions", "default_mutate"
from orion.
