Halfway through!
from epispot.
Since this feature is in beta, we will skip over #77 for now. Post-release updates will work on incorporating it and similar strategies (like automatic parameter inference, etc.) into epispot v3. However, in the interest of time, this will be solved in a separate issue.

A solution to this issue has successfully been tested (closing all task issues). We are now going to work on replacing the current model
and comps
modules with these solutions.

Progress Update
epispot.model
has been successfully updated and epispot.comps
has been partially updated to include new docstrings and revised compartment initialization. All that's left is differentiation.

Progress Update
Differentiation is now complete! Development for v3.0.0-alpha-2 has officially stopped as of now. The tasks that remain are now:
- Recreate pre-compiled models for the new model objects
- Test the new model objects and compartments
- Fix any resulting bugs
- Ensure that code coverage stays the same or improves
- Ensure package-level compatibility with the new model objects
- Submit PR from patch-37 branch
After that, all that remains is for @epispot/release to handle. Hopefully v3.0.0-alpha-2 can be shipped soon!
