It should not be that hard. Recursion is our friend.

Here is implementation of subselect in SELECT clause:

There are few issues to be solved:

1. Aliases. Currently fpdo parses strings to get aliases. It is not good enough. For example dibi uses this syntax: dibi::select('column')->as('alias')->from('table')->leftJoin('another_table')->as('alias_to_another_table')->on('some condition');
2. Smart joins: queries must be connected to know about each others' tables. For now, we can assume the smart join feature is disabled.

May it is possible, but in fact I don't need it ;-) if I have to write very very complicated query I use direct PDO.

Complicated queries are where fpdo is the most useful. Especialy when some parts of the query are dynamic. Anyway I agree, this is not of the top priority.
