Picking issue in mlab about mayavi HOT 2 CLOSED

Ah. As often, writing down the problem is sufficient to crack it.

@on_trait_change('scene.activated') was required for the picking code, as suggested here:
http://docs.enthought.com/mayavi/mayavi/building_applications.html

Would have been nice if the errors would have been a little more helpful in suggesting this solution, though..

Glad you figured this out. Unfortunately, it isn't easy to produce the right error messages as the real issue is that the scene is initialized with the picker and everything else only when it is activated.
