No way to view the map during a random event dialog about endless-sky HOT 5 CLOSED

It would be great if the "m" key worked while in the dialog.

It does actually :) It took me a time to realise it, but the M key works in basically all mission dialogs (even main line quests), and it shoes the target destination with a white market IIRC.

I did not check main line quests, which use a different user interface (a conversation taking the entire height of the screen rather than just a small pop-up).

Yes, it works for me in such dialogs. It took me a while to reproduce it by getting proposed a special mission, but I finally managed :-) The map shows up fine when pressing M while the pop-up is displayed, and the marker looks like that:

I've tested this both in 0.7.10 and in the head revision, using missions that are shown in an ordinary dialog, and it works for me. The commit adding that capability was 241dc86 (March 25th), so if you were testing an older version of the code it might not have worked.

Hrm, I just tested this again, and this time it worked. No idea what I've been doing wrong...
