@geneukum I think your fix sounds great! I am unfamiliar with if this matters in a real world use case or not. We should probably do some more digging.

After stepping through the issue a bit, it appears that we are not guaranteed to receive the "view:renderTree" message before we:

47: run(EmberDebug.port, 'trigger', 'route:getTree');

If the "view:renderTree" message has come in before we trigger "route:getTree", the test seems to pass. Otherwise, the "view:renderTree" message can come in after the "route:routeTree" message and overwrite the stashed result which eventually causes the failed assertion.

edit; We can work around this issue by adding a: waitUntil(() => { return name === 'view:renderTree'; }, { timeout: 3000});after 45: await visit(/);, but I figured it was worth opening an issue to double check whether others think this should work without needing extra waits.
