If some SR/CTR is above max, it will be lowered automatically so you still follow the rules. However, this happens when you accept your RCP selection by confirming RCP-specific selections (e.g. languages, literacy, “one cantrip of the following”). As the cost for the characters are calculated dynamically, you will not spent AP on the skill points that exceed the maximum. But the lowered points will not show up in the professions themselves as these are “fixed” packages. What I can do is to provide a hint that some values exceed the maximum and will be lowered on confirming RCP. What do you think?

I suppose a notification like "Some of your values exceeded the maximum for your chosen experience level and have been lowered. AP cost have been automatically adjusted to reflect this." or similar would mostly solve the problem. The main issue is really paying for the RCP package up front and then finding that your values are lower than promised without an easy way to look up whether the cost has changed.
