Hello @renaud-twd, I've created the branch in the draft PR #65 to be able to test and ensure that at the moment the plugin fails with composer 2.3, to ensure that the fix will work.
It looks like they've released the 2.3 version knowing that there would be backward compatibility issue and that plugin developers might need to fixes their code (see https://blog.packagist.com/composer-2-3/ for details).
I'll work on it as soon as I have some times, so that composer 2.3 is supported.

@renaud-twd finally I've been able to easily find what seems to be the error, but I haven't been able to test it.
The release 1.0.2 should have fixed it.
Can you confirm that it works?
If it's not the case, don't hesitate to tell me and we'll re-open this issue.
