The problem with market orders is slippage (and also higher fees, but that's only if you have over 500 USD or BNB in your portfolio which I'm going to assume is not the case). When placing a market buy, Binance will fill your order immediately,but will not guarantee a price. I've never had a limit buy hang for more than 12 hours, when usually the orders are filled immediately, so I'd rather have price assurance over time assurance.
What might be a good idea is to send a test market buy, check the result, and then decide if to make the market order. We'll have to see how reliable test orders are though. There's a good chance we'll have the exact same problem that we have with the limit orders and the quick changes in the market.

No worries, that makes sense. This order has actually been open since yesterday, so over 24hrs now. I'll manually intervene for now and keep testing this out. I'll post again if I come up with any decent ideas to work around this.
