Iam not very experienced with Regex-based DOS, but might this help?

      html = html.replace(/<script(?:.*?)>(?:.|[\r\n])*?<\/script(?:.*)>/gmi, '');

vs.

      html = html.replace(/<script(.*?)>(.*?[\r\n])*?(.*?)(.*?[\r\n])*?<\/script>/gim, '');

Quantified group with a quantifier in it thingy is gone.
