Unfortunately, JsonConfig can't write to any configuration file, there is no code in place that would write back the configuration. Only reading from the config file is supported.

To share the content of a single config file between to apps, you could create an empty Config object and use Config.ApplyJsonFromFile like this:

dynamic cnf = JsonConfig.Config.ApplyJsonFromPath ("/tmp/shared_settings.conf");

If you have separate per-application configurations (settings.conf) you could create merged versions of the configurations, you can supply the Config.Global or Config.User object as 2nd argument to ApplyJsonFromPath:

dynamic merged_cnf = JsonConfig.Config.ApplyJsonFromPath ("/tmp/shared_settings.conf", Config.Global);

from jsonconfig.
