I have fastcgi running on my server and I can't quite reproduce your problem. Please recheck with my master (currently 66f6) and provide some feedback if this works for you, or if not a small demo page which demonstrates the issue.

I got the same problem with Apache 2.2.16 on a Debian Squeeze.
I try the Debian package (0.1 release) anjd also the code from the master branch.
I have FastCGI enabled but I still use mpm-prefork to run mod_php.

Same problem here. The fields "recieved" and "speed" are "0".
Get only the size and the state "uploading" until the state is "done".
OS: Debian 6.0 (Squeeze)
