Just as a hint: SBML files do not necessary end with .sbml. They can also end with .xml or be packed in a .gz archive etc. So, the file ending is a hint, but not necessarily the criterion to identify a certain file format. If the user's file system is case-sensitive, you need to take this into account for String comparison. For instance, .xML could be an ending of an XML file.
