Verified this issue with Visual Studio 17.10.0 Preview 2. Can repro on android platform with sample project.

Not sure if anyone has found a work around but I have found something that works. I use the carousel position change instead, then I save the position just for android. But it makes my project a bit more complicated then it needs to be. Hopefully this will get fixed as this is the second time I reported it. I reported it in .net 7 also.
