My impression was that if anything we were going to split FSharp.Data.TypeProviders.dll out from this repo into a community project, rather than fixing bugs as we go?

I dont want to hijack the issue, but if you @dsyme @latkin @KevinRansom (pls create a visualfsharp-core team in github 😄 ) think is a good idea to move wsdl type provider to standalone repo/nuget, i can add an issue and i volunteer to do it.
Less complexity, easier maintenance and in F# 4.0 we can add Obsolete (deprecated) attribute

Yes, plan of record is to move in-box type providers out of the box and turn into a community project. They have not been altered since F# 3.0.
Just a matter of priorities...

The FSharp.Data.TypeProviders code has been frozen in this repository at version 4.3.0.0 for some time now.
The code is now available as an F# community library and nuget package at https://github.com/fsprojects/FSharp.Data.TypeProviders/, initially at version 5.0.0.x. I'll close this issue and move it over to there.
If necessary we can eventually remove the code for FSharp.Data.TypeProviders from this repository.
