psycopg2 requires values to be passed as a tuple even for a single database column. Thus creating a single value tuple where there is a comma but no second value. This may be the issue as well as string interpolation with this

Issue stemmed from having several placeholder arguments that were intended to be the same value but the function was expecting the same amount of values in each tuple set.
Resolved by naming the place holders, and mapping the the values (which are the same) with a dictionary. with this layout iterating execute instead of using execute many works better. This is because all values are in a list which is the dict value.
named placeholders and mapping can work with execute many possibly, but will need some reformatting of data. Perhaps in lsit of tupples or list of list as a dict value
