What version of A3M are you using, the one for CI3 or CI2?

If you are using the one from the master branch, than that is CI2 version. The Remember me should keep you logged in for an extended amount of time (usually until you close your browser).

CI2. Do I need to increase my session expiration time? I see that the cookie monster is supposed to prevent the session cookie from being deleted on browser close. But even if I don't choose remember me, I am still remembered after a browser close.

Do you store sessions in the DB or are you just using cookies?

Sessions are stored in the db in the ci_sessions table.

Okay, I figured out its only a problem with Chrome. I tested it in Chrome, Firefox and Safari on Mac. Firefox and Safari forget the cookie on browser close, but remember the cookie correctly when 'remember me' is selected. Chrome always remembers the cookie no matter what. I don't know if this is a bug with A3M or a 'feature' of Chrome.

I'll see if I can replicate in my CI3 build on Ubuntu. As this could as well be something with CI2 or A3M, but from your description it looks more like a 'feature' of Chrome.

Update: No luck with replication on Chromium.
