Installing a plugin manual, still shows info of repository about dokuwiki HOT 6 CLOSED

This should just work (it does for me since #127)
Maybe there is a permissions problem with the manager.dat file that holds the url?

I will investigate it more precise, sofar this is a quite general report indeed.

If I remember correctly, the extension manager gets the "Download URL" from what's on dokuwiki.org (or rather, what gets exposed via the pluginrepo plugin's API) not where you've downloaded it from. So, this is intentional behaviour.
Maybe we should rename that field if it is confusing?

Indeed, it shows always the link as provided by the pluginrepo.

How can i see whether an installed plugin is not from the repository, but for example from another branch of that plugin? (i do install plugins from their devel trunk sometimes for testing purposes, and sofar i didn't see an indicator)

It should display a warning if the URL in the manager.dat is different from the one in the repository. At least that's what we planned. Not sure if it is actually implemented that way ;-)
