I don't think updating the included jquery (v1.9.1) version to v1.11.0 (the current 1.x release) would solve this and updating to the 2.x release would break old IE support. (however since 1.11.0 contains quite a list of fixes it would still be a good idea)
But really I don't see the problem of a developer console telling you something has been deprecated (but still works fine). IMO the best workaround probably is not to open the developer console

You're propably right, but for some reason the developer console always expands by itself when I try to use dev tools on my homepage :P
