@garylavayou according to your docker info output, you have a few registry mirrors configured. A registry mirror means you're pulling the image from the mirror rather than Docker Hub. I think the digest you're seeing is from famqhaa8.mirror.aliyuncs.com/sonatype/nexus3:latest

@nicks Thanks! After removing registry-mirrors option from docker daemon settings, docker can correctly pull the latest version. By the way, is this a known problem that a registry mirror site cannot update the latest version of an image?

@garylavayou there are many different registry mirror implementations on the internet - some track latest, some make all tags immutable, some have a regular update policy. you'd have to contact the owners of famqhaa8.mirror.aliyuncs.com to understand what they're using and what their policy is; it could be intentional.
