Thanks for the report. This is interesting, I confirm the bug. It may require a little bit of rethinking, as the client also pretends each request to require authentication (whereas it's not, or it may not be).
I wonder if we should simply delegate the check to our system, rather then forcing it at client level. Another possible solution is to allow some methods to tell the request
method that they don't require auth.
As a workaround, for now, you can simply set a fake access_token. That will simply be ignored.
