For performance reasons, it is not currently viable to support both endian-ness as you suggest.

You can save some typing by using eval to define big and little endian versions of your classes.

%w(Le Be).each do |endian|
  endian_parameter = (endian == "Le") ? :little : :big

  module_eval <<-END
    class Vector#{endian} < BinData::Record
      endian :#{endian_parameter}
      uint32 :x
      uint32 :y
      uint32 :z
    end

    class Sphere#{endian} < BinData::Record
      endian :#{endian_parameter}
      vector :location # will automatically choose vector_le or vector_be
      uint32 :radius
    end
  END
end

Reopening. A possible API for defining both big and little endian versions of a Record is:

class Vector < BinData::Record
  endian :big_and_little
  uint32 :x
  uint32 :y
  uint32 :z
end

class Sphere < BinData::Record
  endian :big_and_little
  vector :location
  uint32 :radius
end

This would automatically define VectorLe, VectorBe, SphereLe and SphereBe.

Vector.new
Sphere.new

would raise an error.

I'm still considering whether to add this enhancement.
