I changed the environment line (in pubspec.yaml) to :

  sdk: ">=2.0.0-dev.58.0 <3.0.0"

And it works fine.

Yeah - no big deal. It will confuse new users more.
It affected 6 other plugins of mine which I had to update to the latest versions, I expect this will be confusing people for a ton of different plugins.
