False positives of right single quotes on the Unmatched Curly Quotes Report about guiguts-py HOT 2 CLOSED

Thanks for raising this. Can an apostrophe used in a possessive sense be deterministically separated from an apostrophe used in contractions such as in "they're", "you're", etc? I think the answer is yes but I'm no grammarian so wonder if there are any exceptions.
