@enothen @hadess this was your original code, do you think there's anything wrong in changing it? It should just make the first reboot onto a different kernel a bit slower, but shouldn't fail the %post steps if there is a missing kernel-devel package for a certain kernel.

Yeah, I think I'm with you. Most of the time the build for older kernels is not needed, and the current way just makes the installer compile the module for kernels that the user might have forgotten to cleanup. I like it if it makes the installation faster.
