Your Node.js version is likely under the required ~8.2, update node.js to latest LTS (8.9.4 at the moment) and you should be good.

are you sure that the node.js version bracket use is above 8.2? Discord-rpc make usage of new ES2017 features what is only supported in newer node.js versions.

i dont think so 🤔 maybe they will think about using latest LTS but who knows
