For compiling the package I edited the Makefile and replaced the definition of LIBS simply with
LIBS = -lgthread-2.0 -lswscale -lavutil -lturbojpeg -ljpeg
if you install the indicated libraries, including the devel packages, from your distro package management system that should work (on Fedora the required packages are: ffmpeg-devel turbojpeg-devel libjpeg-turbo-devel plus the gtk stuff).
However I still get an undefined in linking, will open another issue.

- Automatic rebuilding of the driver does not work when the kernel is updated
- Driver assembly is only possible under the current kernel. Not convenient when upgrading (requires extra restart of the system)
