Oh nice catch. Will include the select boxes from computeGCBias, because the new MACS2 wrappers [0] have the same box ;)

I use the select box now in bamCompare, bamCoverage, correctGCbias and computeGCbias. I did not changed any text, just used the more elaborated (with links) from the GCbias tools.

I just noticed the disadvantage of the box solution: when one wants to make a workflow, one is forced to specify the genome or select "user-specified" which generates a field that can be filled out once the workflow is used --> this field, however, is then missing all the information about which number to use

again, not a terribly urgent issue, but one that if it is solved, should be reported to me as I will have to re-do the workflows then

Can you elaborate a little bit more on that issue? You should see these informations next to the insert-box, isn't it?
"Effective genome size"
"e.g. ce10: 93260000, dm3: 121400000, hg19: 2451960000, mm9: 2150570000"

When you run the workflow (just test it --> go to the shared workflows and use the one for computeGCbias), you will only see the header "Effective genome size" and an empty box, no information as to what the input value could look like. This is different from when you use the program directly (i.e. not via the workflow).

This is because the help text is not displayed in the workflow mode. I don't think this is a huge issue, because the user can see example numbers next to example genomes (above, e.g. mm9, dm3 ...).

I will try to get the help text displayed next to each parameter, but this is a general Galaxy issue. Corresponding Trello Card here: https://trello.com/c/OTm6887A

I will close this bug now and hope to get it fixed in Galaxy.
