This is a very common issue with large MODIS swaths. The solution is discussed in the user guide, but in short, you have to give MCTK more memory to work with during triangulation. By default, ENVI permits MCTK to use 1MB of memory at a time. If you change that value to at least 10MB, you should be okay, but 100MB is not uncommon. To make the change, launch ENVI Classic, go to File->Preferences, click on the Miscellaneous tab, change Image Tile Size to 10.0, then click OK.
