Ah, took me a while to see what was going on here. :)

You have whitespace within a single argument in the argument list. ArgParser expects arguments to be split on whitespace already (which is what the arguments passed to main() are). Instead of:

  ['--name somevalue1']
  ['-n somevalue3']

You want:

  ['--name', 'somevalue1']
  ['-n', 'somevalue3']
