This is doable and I'm not necessarily opposed, but need to think through any implications.
We would need to sanitize (probably slug) the name passed in and check that a room with that name doesn't already exist.
We might also want to enforce a minimum room ID length, among other things.

Well in case the room already exists you would simply connect to it (just like it is now the case) but if not establish it with that id.
